About Painted Wolf Resources

We are a team of Southern North Sea basin experts, building an investment pipeline of drill ready gas projects including exploration wells; appraisal wells; and early stage field developments.

We believe our team of highly experienced and successful sub-surface professionals are the largest and most experienced team working in the basin. We have created a sub-surface tour de force, focused on hunting down commercial quantities of natural gas, with the potential of outperforming significantly larger players.

Our Assets

Painted Wolf holds four licences in the UK sector of the North Sea. Three in the core focus area, the Southern North Sea gas basin, and the fourth a high potential licence in the Central North Sea. We are using our expertise and extensive available data to identify high grade, low risk appraisal and development opportunities.

Our Approach

Our approach is very targeted: understanding how to commercialise unexploited discoveries; revisiting and analysing “undrained” fields; and expanding play concepts from established fields into unexplored areas. The foundation of Painted Wolf’s portfolio is the four Actis Oil & Gas held licences. These licences hold high quality opportunities and are adjacent to available infrastructure.

Why The Southern North Sea?

The UK Sector of the North Sea still has significant commercial potential, particularly gas in the Southern North Sea – there are opportunities as well as 50+ years of data and knowledge. There are multiple undeveloped discoveries, fields that have not been fully drained and opportunities to explore play concepts that expand from established fields into a wider footprint.

Opportunity in the Data

Since gas was first discovered in 1965, many hundreds of seismic surveys have been acquired and thousands of exploration, appraisal and development wells have been drilled. The resulting data arising from this activity is vast, and there are basin experts who have been working in the Southern North Sea for the majority of their career.

We are building a portfolio of highly prospective gas opportunities in the Southern North Sea basin

The Opportunity

Why we believe 2019 / 2020 offers a unique opportunity to grow a substantial natural gas business:
